In the aftermath of the tragic events at Virginia Tech, the perpetrator of the multiple murders of staff and students hadn’t even been formally identified, when some voices from Europe, and our leftists at home, began calling for more restrictive gun laws. Some of the voices from Europe, and leftists in the U.S., who will remain nameless and linkless, as they are undeserving any recognition, renewed their criticisms of our Second Amendment heritage, and attempt to elevate themselves morally, by criticizing the U.S. for allowing private firearm ownership.
To those people, I say you are fools! You’ve been acculturated in a society where the crown and it’s Army, are responsible for your safety and security. That’s well and good for you who don’t believe in personal responsibility. The United States is the only large nation in history, that has never had a walled city in it’s existence. We don’t run for cover in the castle, so the King and all his men can protect us, or control us.
I will not only not apologize to anyone for being armed, nor will I be disarmed without a fight, I will never willingly walk in and relinquish my arms, because the nanny state told me I had to.
I won’t elaborate on how well armed I am, other than to say I can fight up close with edged and throwing weapons, silently with slingshots and blowguns, as well as reach out in excess of a mile and a half, if needs be. Yet, to date, I have never committed a violent crime, nor have I ever been compelled to. If my guns and other weapons are the source of crime, then why haven’t I gone on a Hollywoodesque murder spree? The answer for me, is the same for the many millions of Americans that lawfully possess firearms, and are not inclined to criminality. We are good people, that believe in the rights God has given us, the rights that our Constituition is designed to protect, and we believe in the right of self defense, and the defense of other citizens in need.
I know there are many who only react to the fear of firearms, and the senseless harm and murder of innocents, and are well intentioned. I too am feeling emotional at this time, but for different reasons. The tragedy at VT captivates the news, as I type, and justly so, as the grief and loss so many are experiencing at this time, is life altering. However, my emotions are directed to those who would see our valued rights undermined due to the emotional reactions of those who oppose our basic freedom, for fear and for political opportunism.
If a tragedy occurs near me, or if I or my neighbors are in danger, I will fill my hands with weapons, and come to the aid of the greater community and my neighbors, as well as myself. I will not wait for law enforcement, unless waiting is a reasonable response. I will only call 911…after! Also, I will not stand idly by, and watch as my community is set ablaze by rampaging young men, who act with impunity, and even attack the firemen and police, while murdering innocent civilians, and burning buses and cars. I will protect my community!
Here are some illuminating quotes, concerning firearm ownership:
Mao Tse Tung
“All political power comes from the barrel of a gun. The communist party must command all the guns, that way, no guns can ever be used to command the party”
“The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government”
Regulations Against Jews’ Possession of Weapons
“Those now possessing weapons and ammunition are at once to turn them over to the local police authority. Firearms and ammunition found in a Jew’s possession will be forfeited to the government without compensation Whoever willfully or negligently violates the provisions will be punished with imprisonment and a fine”
“A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity”
“Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the people’s liberty teeth keystone… the rifle and the pistol are equally indispensable… more than 99% of them by their silence indicate that they are in safe and sane hands. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference. When firearms go, all goes, we need them every hour.”
“If I had my way, sporting guns would be strictly regulated, the rest would be confiscated”
