Elvis would be 78 years old if he could have made it out of the 70′s alive. It’s too bad, you know. I think old Elvis would still be bringing it.
Maybe those hips might have slowed down some, but that voice, and that presence! Yeah, I bet he would still be packing them in.
Happy Birthday, Elvis!

At least we had the opportunity to know the young Elvis. Those that didn’t will never understand.
Wish he had taken better care of himself, though.
I don’t know if I related that we lived across the street from Priscilla Beaulieu at Bergstrom AFB. She and my sister were best friends. They were the same age and went through the change together so they are still very close. My sister had her first child, a daughter, named Lisa Marie in December1966 a year and a month before Priscilla had hers.
That said, we know a lot of the people surrounding the family.
What killed Elvis and his will to live was his friends, whom he had helped so much and so many times, were beginning to become spoiled and bored. In their boredom, they began to gossip about some of the very personal things they were supposed to keep in confidence. Elvis felt totally betrayed and had nowhere to turn.
After being prescribed sleep medication and stimulants as a treatment for his depression he lost control of his health.
Elvis died alone and betrayed and the Jackals still pick his bones today.
