   Romney’s top advisors from Massachusetts are now directing the EPA and science policy in the Obama administration, acting on a Supreme Court decision that Romney’s Attorney General brought that, incredibly, assumes regulatory control over carbon dioxide, a component of the atmosphere without which, there would be no life on earth.

   So we are being asked to believe that the man who was a smart-growther 7 years ago, put in place the toughest CO2 caps in the nation, created building initiatives that stack people in big cities to somehow save the environment from urban sprawl, and did it all on the advice of some of the most radical and authoritarian control freaks in the rabid environmental movement, is going to completely change his attitude. He won’t be able to, and I’ll tell you why.

   Shortly after the Supreme Court decided in 2000 that the BSA was constitutionally permitted to exclude activist homosexuals from leadership positions, SLOC shut down all communication with the BSA. Romney, who is an Eagle Scout and has been a Scout leader, refused to return calls. The entire SLOC staff acted as if the BSA had suddenly ceased to exist.

   Not to mention his vulture capitalism, such as what Bain did to Domino’s.

   Bain’s Domino’s Pizza model looks a lot like the Obama model:

   I have told you that Bain would be our undoing in a general election. But whenever someone questions Bain, they are accused of being anti-capitalist.

   Domino’s was not in need of rescue, nor was it a classic turnaround case for Bain. But it was still a bonanza for the Boston leveraged buyout firm, which makes money by buying and selling businesses. Bain reaped a 500 percent return on its investment in the nation’s largest pizza delivery chain over 12 years.

   Domino’s grew its revenues and earnings under Bain, but its debt also surged to $1.5 billion, leaving the chain with a higher debt ratio than most of its rivals, and interest payments that eat up half its profit each year….

   To buy Domino’s, Bain put up a third of the money in cash and borrowed the rest. It took money out in several chunks including: a 2003 refinancing of the company’s debt, a 2004 initial public stock offering, and an $897 million “monster dividend’’ paid to Bain and other investors in 2007. In each instance, the company borrowed money or refinanced old debt to make the payouts.
