After what that murderer whom Huckabee pardoned did, I would be ashamed to show my face if I was that guy.
which commutation?
seriously, why should anyone be ashamed to show their face because they made a mistake?
You stand in judgement with your perfect 20-20 hindsight? Shame on you.
You don’t know as much as you think you do.
In Arkansas, as it is the same in other states, the Gov. can’t commute/pardon anyone unless the Board of Pardons and Paroles recommends it. They did, he reviewed it, and agreed. The murderer was put on parole, and promptly violated it and was returned to prison.
That was the end of Gov. Huckabee’s involvement with this creature being turned loose on society. About four years later, the courts screwed up and released him.
Then the courts in Washington screwed up and let him out on pretrial release, even with his violent history.
Would I have agreed to the Boards recommendation? Absolutely not, I’m a real hard-ass when it comes to repeat violent offenders. Huck is a much nicer person than me.
He has nothing to be ashamed of, and in retrospect his commuting this man’s sentence was bad judgment, but no where near as bad as the poor judgment the courts in Arkansas and Washington displayed.
Says the anonymous poster who likes/is from Brooklyn? Why don’t you shut your pie hole and listen to the message before you condemn the messenger. And listen to what n2l said about the facts of the “Pardon”. Please come back when you have a bit more than some tidbit picked up from some Huck bashers.
