epicsurvivorThis is strange. He was first reported dead, but now KWTX is reporting that Malik Nidal Hasan is still alive.
FORT HOOD (November 5, 2009)— Army Maj. Malik Nadal Hasan whom Fort Hood officials identified as the soldier who opened fire Thursday afternoon on post, killing 12 and wounding 30 others, is not dead, according to the post’s commander, who earlier said the gunman was dead.
Lt. Gen. Robert Cone declined to comment on Hasan’s condition.
Hasan was reportedly taken to Scott & White Hospital in Temple.
Fort Hood ended its lockdown Thursday evening.

Other than Fox News, I have little interest in what the LSM says. The FBI is on this, and because of the nature of the event he fired upon, this may well be the most phone videoed event in history. We already know quite a bit about him. What will be interesting to find out is, his associations, and the nature of the Salafist mosque he attended.
I sometimes listen to NPR on my 45 minute drive home — there are somedays when I need a chuckle at monotone liberal spew.
Anyway last night, there was an “expert” cum apologist playing these cards:

- This wasn’t the Hasan they knew
- Secondhand PTSD (because the first wasn’t enough)

And so on.

Just finished reading manual for execution by firing squad . It requires 1 officer ,1 NCO and 8 Marksman,(1 but not more then 3 weapons will be loaded with blanks), 1 Chaplain and a Medical Officer. If a band is present (and it should be) when the execution has been completed the band shall march off ” playing a light air “. You can make your oun sugesstion as what the band should play.

I find it interesting that any rifles in the squad would be loaded with blanks. An experienced rifleman would notice right away the lack of “kick” with a blank, as there would be no resistance from the mass exiting the barrel, as well as, those firing live rounds would notice.
