GCP meetup

For any of the late-stragglers, here is a link to Conservative Talk.

And, just in case you lose track of this post, a link to Conservative Talk has been added to the right hand side-bar under “The Roll.”

Nano, the owner of Conservative Talk, has graciously loaned the guest room to the folks from GCP.

eagle nebulaDrop by to find out the latest progress as Admiral Adama leads the rag-tag banned of brothers, in search of a new home.

And, be sure to drop back by here from time to time.

Cheers,

Nuke.

  1. Nuke, I see a few of the Folks have made their way to you here.

I’m sure most everyone is grateful for the kindness of all the blog hosts who have given us a place to meet-up. I am not an original part of the “Banned”, but I was a long time lurker ATS and knew of the Folks who are. Obiwan included. Fine group.

Oh, ya. Tell Swampie I’m a ‘Guy’ person. (I must be sounding like a girl). Heh™…….

  2. Swampie gave me a hard time too.
    here

    Heh™

  3. Oops. Guess it was the “a” ending on the name.

  4. and all this time I thought you were a rightwinger from pennsylvania

    • Nope. That’s Odinist. Havoc’s sparring partner. I’m 26-year law enforcement from the desert southwest (and other things along the way).

  5. How’s Arizona doin’? Was planning on making it back there this summer but now I’m not sure if we’ll make it.

    • Been overcast and windy here. Can’t complain. With the melt-down of the site, I’ve been able to spend some time on-line. If you’ve been following Nano’s site, you’ll see that I sent a design to NB of a masthead I designed to upgrade the mian page of the old site. He liked it. We’ll see when we decide on a name if we can’t come up with something….

  6. Nuke,
    Thanks for the hospitality!

  7. My pleasure amigo

  8. Hey n2l! bonz sends you a message from Conservative Talk.

    He says it safe… LINK

    • Now why would bonz dodat?
      He knows where I iz.

      • idunno, eyes jus relayun the info….

(i thought it was an inside joke)
and BTW, I did tell him you were pretty stubborn, as I think it was an invite to come over and participate.

  9. Oh, forgot about that new instant linky thing.

  10. Ain’t it cool!

  11. Yes it is!

  12. If it’s an inside thingie, I’m squarely on the outside.
I’ll just wait to see where those folks all settle in.
I’m quite comfy here, at urban grounds, and stopping by lgf2 for a yak every now and then.
I really don’t spend as much time on the ‘puter as I used to, since the economy went backwards. Having to put in a lot more time and effort to keep the kablinkie coming in, and bracing for the hyperinflation that is coming.
Not feeling up to snuff, today. Kinda wore down, and this bad-ass storm we had roll through last night, and lingered til this afternoon, didn’t help. Traffic was a bear, with major intersections completely underwater, as well as some major freeways, not to mention all the blinking traffic lights.

  13. hang in there bud!

  14. well then, i’ll just let bonz deliver his own messages from now on. sorry.

    • No need to get angry.
I honestly don’t know what the significance of that video clip is.
To be honest, didn’t really like that movie all that much.

  15. Sorry guys, didn’t want to come on to Nuke’s site pointing people elsewhere. Nuke was kind enough to allow some us a place to congregate after the meltdown.. Now I see El Nuko ;)

    N2L, stop by

  16. Dang, N2l, hope your bidness picks up and you generate lots of kablinkie. (Sounds like something you eat with pierogi.)

*sigh* My nephew lost his job as an electrician at a well-known company because it shut down. It had been in business forever. There are hundreds of applications put in here for jobs like shoveling dog sh** at kennels for low pay and no benefits.

    • Thanks, swampie, but it won’t, not for a while.
A few years ago I had more than twenty clients in financial services, everything from investment bankers, venture capitalist, pension fund managers, and business brokers.
      Now…I have one.
He has been to NYC several times this year, and said the financial district is a ghost town. Sidewalks are empty during lunch, with no wait for a table.
He was out at the Long Beach harbor last year, and he said the place was a beehive of activity, with ships being loaded/offloaded, with others queued up. A few weeks ago, he was at Long Beach harbor, and he said there was one ship, and it was just sitting there.
Shiite is not only backwards, it’s upside down, too.
At least I still have a job, but I’m having to work as hard at it now, as I did when I first started out, eighteen years ago. I ain’t as spry as I was then.
