The besieged secretary of the Treasury gets a strong vote of confidence from President Obama in a TV interview to be broadcast tonight.
In a session with “60 Minutes” interviewer Steve Kroft, Obama tells Kroft that if Timothy Geithner were to tender his resignation, he would tell him, “Sorry, buddy, you’ve still got the job.” source
After the 60 Minutes interview, private sources say that a planned outing for the President and his Secretary of Treasury has been arranged.
Obama will meet Geithner on a fishing trip/working vacation.
Vote of confidence = K.O.D.
