   Yeh, while China plans to bring about 200 PBRs (no, not professional bull riders, pebble bed reactors–safe as houses urm, safer than hydroelectric–in the next few years (with the aim of becoming a net exporter of energy), the US NRC continues to twiddle its thumbs over a measly lil 1MW mini-reactor for a podunk town in Alaska. *feh* Nuclear energy could easily be a short-middle and long term answer to electrical energy needs in the US, were it not for weenies, dopes and dildos putting idiotic roadblocks in the way.

   Of the 105 nuke plants in operation today, NONE has ever had serious problems (and no, the 3 Mile Island kerfuffle wasn’t a serious problem, either, despite Hanoi Jane’s “herois” movie and all the hoopla).

   And PBRs! *sheesh!* MIT has placed plans for a modular (assembly line stuff) PBR in the public domain. You bet the Chinese noticed! The 200 PBRs the Chinese have coming online in the next few years could seem like penny-ante stuff compared to what the US could still do if we were allowed to…
