   What is strange, to me, is the number of times in the last couple weeks when I’ve been out in a public place in my McCain/Palin T-shirt and been approached by older Yankees migrating south for the winter that timidly tell me how much they admire my shirt, as though they are afraid somebody will hear them.

   This is the first time that such a thing has ever happened.

   The trend in the polls is difficult to ignore.
   I think a lot of folks have been discouraged since the ’06 debacle, have been busy coping with the energy/financial crises, and taking care of their families. Now that the election is full on, people are paying attention, and B-HO can’t close the deal…again. Too many don’t trust him.
   In my area of Dallas, mostly affluent and conservative, I have not seen Mc signs or bumper stickers at all, until the past two weeks or less. Now they are in abundance, in every neighborhood.
   The trend is obvious. The voters are becoming engaged.
