Conduct Unbecoming the CIC

In New Mexico, Barack Obama began a brief Memorial Day address with the following statement…

On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes — and I see many of them in the audience here today – our sense of patriotism is particularly strong.

This is the best that the Democrats have?

If this were a prepared speech, then obviously Mr. Obama doesn’t understand that Memorial Day honors those who have died in our Nation’s military service.

Otherwise, you would have to conclude that he misspoke, as a result of giving an on-the-fly speech on a solemn ocassion.

Certainly not Presidential behavior in either case.

Update: Obama’s remarks were prepared.  The inappropriate language was not a part of the prepared remarks.  Sheesh, what a maroon.

  1. What a dingus!

  2. Pols who have the gift for impromptu speaking often overestimate their gift at the most inoportune times. I remember Mike Huckabee’s off-the-cuff remarks on foreign policy … caused me to begin having doubts about his preparedness to lead the Nation.

    Obamessiah is no different.

  3. The intellect B-HO is claimed to have by some, has yet to appear to me.
Today is about saying Thank You, and remembering what so many have sacrificed for us.

  4. I was watching a program on the Military Channel a couple of weeks ago, which was a two hour show on the planned invasion of the Japanese home islands, which would have commenced in Nov 45.
The casualties were expected to be incredibly high, as the invasion would have come in stages, and the number of men and equipment would have made Normandy look like a minor skirmish.
They ordered so many Purple Hearts, just for that invasion, that was mercifully not needed, thanks to the Atomic bombs, that those Purple Hearts are the ones that have been issued in Korea, Viet Nam, every other skirmish and war, and are still being issued today. With crates full waiting in warehouses.
The revisionists and ethicists can say what they want, but I say God Bless Fat Man and Little Boy.

  5. That’s a great story.

  6. hasta manana.

  7. What an utter putz. This man is dangerous. Or maybe I should say, if he had a brain he’d be dangerous.
