Unless it's a hard, hard freeze and month-long power outage, like the last one, the above kit should do nicely, even if the New Madrid Fault kicks up. Speaking of which, I guess I ought to include a frog gig and a charcoal grill. Yum. Frog legs. Nutritious and delicious. Tastes like chicken. Sorta. In my emergency kit:

Beer
Pretzels
.45 (for heavy-duty plinking)
Lawn chair
Sun glasses

I’m going to view the next emergency here in America’s Third World County as an entertainment opportunity.
