What in the world?

On Feb. 8, a woman shot two students to death before killing herself at Louisiana Technical College in Baton Rouge. In Memphis, Tenn., a 17-year-old shot and critically wounded a student Monday during a gym class. In Oxnard, CA, the 15-year-old victim of a shooting at a junior high school has been declared brain dead.

In the 4th incident in a week, a man walked into an auditorium-style classroom at Northern Illinois University and began shooting. He was armed with a shotgun and a handgun.

Five students were murdered, and fifteen were wounded.

The killer turned the gun on himself, his name has not been released.

  1. I feel horribly for those families. So much suffering – and such a horrible loss of life.

So many gun-free zones, so many psychotic killers who strangely ignore the prohibitions against firearms as they ignore the prohibitions against killing people. In for a pound, in for a penny, obviously.

As I’ve often said: no one shoots up NRA meetings. So many guns; so little violence.

  2. So, I guess that’s the solution then? Arm everyone with guns and then no one will shoot anyone. I’m sure the thousands of accidental deaths annually when junior finds pap pap’s handgun and play cops and robbers with his best friend don’t count for anything. You people are so blind to the real problem. Guns don’t solve anything. They only create more problems. And there’s nothing “strange” about psychotic killers ignoring “prohibitions” against killing people. They’re f*cking psychotic killers!!! They don’t give a sh*t about anyone but themselves!

  3. Mark G. says, “You people are so blind to the real problem.”

I would be interested in hearing your opinion on what the “real problem” is.

  4. The real problem is the guns themselves. I always hear second amendment gun nuts talk about, “Guns don’t kill people. People kill people.” Well, if there were less guns in the world then it would be a hell of a lot harder to kill someone with them.

And the REAL reason that no one shoots up NRA meetings is because all the crazies that gun down people en mass are all NRA members. Seung-Hui Cho, killer of 32 at Virginia Tech last year was a card carrying member of the NRA.

  5. I thought that was where you were going, but I wasn’t for sure.
We are going to have to agree to disagree on this.

  6. Fair enough. I respect your respect for my opinion.

  7. All the crazies, and you point out One. Reading the Brady talking points?

  8. Second Amendment feelgood story of the day

And That’s why we have the right keep and to bear arms!

  9. That is a very silly reason. If you don’t want your kid to have your handgun, you teach him not to touch it or keep it out of reach.
