AQ on the run

A new dispatch from Michael Yon is more of an indication that the difficult road chosen by President Bush and General Petraeus is the right path to follow in Iraq. Our men and women are doing an awesome job in hellish conditions. God bless them all.

Here is an excerpt from Mike’s dispatch:

Over here, the fact of al Qaeda murdering children is just that: it’s a fact. How they chose to commit the murders is a variable that changes from incident to incident. I’ve written often about how Iraqis, as a rule, love and greatly value their children. This makes the children especially vulnerable as targets for terrorists. That is a brutal fact.

Also, be sure to check out the video interview of the leader of the 1920s Revolution Brigade.

There is great progress being made through courage and hard work. Our political leaders could show a little courage as well.

  1. AQ is definitely on the run. I wish we could get ahead of them, and when they stop to catch their breathes, we could relieve them of their nasty habit of breathing, and roasting innocent Iraqi children and serving them to their parents.

  2. Oh yeah, Al Qaeda is on the run. They’re running all over the United States, thanks to the fine job Bush has done protecting our borders.

  3. well, that’s a topic for another thread.
It is encouraging to see that definite progress is being made on this front.

  4. It is not Bush’s job to protect our borders. It is the Congress’s and the Senate’s job to protect our borders. They have thus far not done this. It is also the states and cities and local police forces which are going to have to step up to the plate on this one. The local police know who the illegals are and where they are. The INS is completely useless except for maybe transporting the people back across the border. The states are going to have to take some responsibility in this regard as well.

  5. “Political leaders” and “courage” are not words that belong together very often in the same sentence unless courage is prefaced by “lack of”.

And speaking of politicians, I have to guiltily admit that I’m gleefully looking forward to the Pelosi versus Sheehan Death Cage Match in the next congressional election cycle (which I am far too lazy unmotivated to look up).

I imagine there will be a whole lot of terrorist gropery going on from both far left and left reality so third world dictators, you just might want to clear your itineraries of various murders, tortures, theft, and oppression of citizens in order to appear on television getting a lap dance from the candidates.
