Have a great vacation, Nuke and Miz Nuke, in those Missippi mountains (or are those called landfills?)
enjoy enjoy!!!!!!!! miss ya already..heh!
Y’all have fun.
I’m gonna be scarce quite a bit this week, starting Sunday, my own self.
A week of R & R? Woo hoo! That sounds great. Happy 4th!
Everybody is going to go have fun except me, who will be working.
Somebody get me the big knife!
have a fun time in the hills.
I think that’s a good idea, to be far away from population centers this 4th. I have a feeling the Islamos are going to blow off some fireworks of their own in the USA.
Mick, I did not think of that. Hope you’ll be safe as well.
I was watching FNC, and Cavuto had a terrorism expert on, and he said Houston is high on the list of target cities, due to the numerous petrochemical facilities there. I’ve driven through Pasadena, with the plants on each side of me, just an arms length from the road, lined up for what seems like miles. Gave me the creeps, and that was long ago, when Osama had only heard about the Russian invasion of Afghanistan.

Hmmm…nothin’to see here, folks..move along.
While I would agree with the amateurish nature of the attempt, and the really poor quality explosives, I don’t agree that it was an insignificant event, and the perpetrators can learn from this and get better.
Just look at the first and last attacks on the WTC.
Glad to know that poster isn’t near me, when the poop gets weak.
Well, I’m glad that that poster feels that the loss of only a few lives of people nearby is insignificant. I’d be inclined to agree, if it were his life that was lost.
I’d be willing to bet that old Mr. Bravado isn’t going to be walking past any cars outside a nightclub any time soon.
And if he doesn’t learn to pay attention to his surroundings because of this (or deliberately ignores his surroundings) why then his genes definitely need to be removed from the pool.
I’ll try to see if I can catch that terrorism expert in the wee hours. SwampMan and I were discussing it tonight; he said he’s actually surprised that one hasn’t gotten through by now, but he’s more inclined to believe that the big cities (New York, Chicago, LA) would be more likely to be targeted. I was thinking smaller cities that might not have as much security presence would probably be a more tempting target.
The guy Cavuto had on is good. He’s been on FNC many times.
What were his other pick cities for attacks?
Mine probably wouldn’t be on the list; I think they would want at least a metropolis of 1,000 people.

The town we live in actually resembles a war zone during the 4th. It’s the craziest thing we’ve seen regarding celebrating Independence Day
. I kid you not, it’s a relatively small town that millions of dollars of fireworks go up in. We don’t spend a dime, but have the pleasure of watching others light their money. And sleep? Forget about it! Once a year, and it’s a blast (pun intended).
