I’m Loving This

hillary.gifLast week’s under-the-radar report from the St.Pete Times sparked my curiosity.

I looked around the polling sites to see if Hillary might be in trouble, speculating that Howard the Dean might be trying to curry favor with the Clintons by scuttling the Florida primary — even before the voting started. But, the only results I found showed Hillary with a double digit lead, so I slapped myself on the wrists for doubting the electoral veracity of the donks, and moved on to the next story.

Guess what? RCP has a new poll showing the Silky Pony leading in Florida. I kid you not.

  1. Heh.

  2. Interesting to see the purported standings of the Republican candidates, huh?

  3. Understand that voters in Florida have trouble voting. When the poll was taken many probably were encouraged to learn that Ralph Edwards was still alive and running for President. He’s not on either count ;)

  4. poor Ralph. was he queen for the day, or this is your life?

  5. We got rain this evening, more than we had gotten in a month! I ran outside to check to see how much had fallen, and it was about 3/10 of an inch. I scuffed the dirt, and only the very top layer was wet. Underneath was just dust. The rain hadn’t penetrated enough to get to the roots of the grass, let alone the trees.

I can only hope that heavier rain fell to some purpose on the massive wildfire in Georgia/Florida (mostly Georgia) which got away from the firefighters a few times today. (No, the fires have not gone away; they continue to burn and will continue to burn until the area gets about 20 inches of rain, preferably all at once.) The fire that got away and raced through about 10,000 more acres was the “80% contained” Sweat Farm Road fire portion, so it will be interesting to see the updated maps tomorrow or the next day. That one big wildfire is @500,000 acres in size now, or almost 800 square miles.

  6. Glad y’all got some rain, anyway.
We got hammered today, high winds, lightening, and blowing rain. More expected for the next several days.
Hope to catch up on everything this weekend. Been busy…very busy.
    /night

  7. Busy, very busy, is GOOD! I’m busy, but to no purpose. I’m searching as fast as I can.

So, Texas is continuing to soak up our rain, huh? I, uh, don’t think I even want anything coming in off the gulf; that would blow the wildfires back this way, and we aren’t that far east of them.

  8. Heh. Dance Party in Iraq at JibJab is very entertaining, although Broadway chorus lines probably aren’t afraid of the competition.

  9. Dang, the dance party in Iraq link is brought to you courtesy of windybon at GCP.

  10. If any of the Democrat candidates decide to exploit it Obama has given them an opening to question his Mr. Clean image. He is so focused on taking his home state here in Illinois that he convinced the legislature to move to an earlier primary voting date. But he does not have that kind of muscle by himself. So he was seen earlier in the year confabbing with the two people who do have that kind of clout in the State of Illinois government, the Governor Rod Blagodabitch and the Mayor of Chicago, Richard Daly. Both are best know for crooked administrations but Obama had to cozy up to them to increase his political clout.

  11. It appears that the left is as queezy about Obama and Hillary as the right is about McCain and Julie Annie.

    Thanks for the mention Nuke.

  12. Shrillary losin popularity?..say it aint so!.lol
