Up to 10 Shiite militiamen killed, a torture room destroyed in second US operation in Baghdad’s Sadr City in three days

Like the first on Friday, Sunday’s raid targeted suspected members of a Shiite cell smuggling armor-piercing EFPs bombs from Iran, who also arranged for members to take terrorist training in Iran.

    Don’t Abandon Us!

Last weekend a traffic jam several miles long snaked out of the Mansour district in western Baghdad. The delay stemmed not from a car bomb closing the road but from a queue to enter the city’s central amusement park. The line became so long some families left their cars and walked to enjoy picnics, fairground rides and soccer, the Iraqi national obsession.

  2. I’ve been watching that on Fox this morning and checking all the news reports but have yet to find any indication as to why ethnic Albanians would wish to kill a bunch of soldiers that have never done anything to them. Why, one would almost think it was a religious obligation, but no religious affiliations are mentioned.
