More on melamine contamination

After this story broke a few weeks ago, most of us thought the worst was over with the recall of Menu Foods dog and cat food products. Unfortunately, it appears now that this story is only beginning…..

CERES, Calif. (AP) A Stanislaus County hog farm was placed under quarantine after an industrial chemical that’s tainted more than 100 brands of dog and cat food was found in pig urine there, state agriculture officials said late Thursday. source

  1. So, this melamine thing, is it good for weight loss?

  2. It sounds as though somebody was just walking along, and suddenly said “Ohmygawd! Look! There’s melamine in the pig urine.” And really, if I found this stuff in my pig’s urine, I’d be a little concerned too.

  3. We may have stumbled onto China’s cheap manufacturing process.

  4. Jeebus. I absolutely cannot listen to the drivel dribbling off of Fox News right now “Ohmygawd, it’s a government facility! Everybody should be metal detected and strip searched before entering!”

Hello. Do you clueless people have any freaking idea how many contractors enter and exit government facilities daily? With tools? Made of metal? Well, good luck on those searches if you actually intend to get some freakin’ work done.

/Veteran of entering/egressing government facilities daily for a long, long time.

Wuh oh. Swampman is in screaming “BULL(bleep)” at the television again, so they’ve come up with something even stupider than the normal level of journalistic cluelessness.

Thank God CNN isn’t on. We would be buying a new television set.

  5. A little earlier, Fox news people were commenting on how it was “antidepressants” that make people emotionless and able to kill vast numbers of people. Um, no. A flat affect and lack of feeling for others is one of the signs of depression, which (surprise) antidepressants (hence the name) combat.

  6. Well, I’ve contaminated Nuke’s site long enough, so time for me to go put in a few miles and pump some iron.

  7. So they want to free John Hinckley Jr. because, after all, he is sane if he’s taking his medications. Yeah, it’s that “taking his medications” that’s the tricky part.
