Our friend, Kamangir, reports that the rhetoric from the mullahs has been raised to a fever pitch……
I am not a fan of football but I know that much that when the two top teams, Esteghlal and Perspolis, play together, it is the big event. This time, the Islamic Republic tried to borrow some of that passion for its political agenda. So, as ISNA reports,
The spectators shouted “Death to UK” before the match. A black banner was attached to the entrance of the stadium showing the text “Death to UK”.
In another news, the Friday Prayers’ Imam of Tabriz, the capital city of East Azerbaijan Province, asked for the British sailors to be tried.

May I use profanity in my comment? Just this one time…
Just fill in the blank
F$@K IRAN!
Sure, but it’ll cost you a couple of carbon credits.
Put it on my tab…
And finally the brits go crazy!
Do you remember 1980? Americans were struggling for 444 days to free their hostages and that time british petroleum was signing contracts with the mullah regime. Having fun with Rafsanjani and other mullah gangs.
Now it’s your day and surely you won’t get support from Americans and the UN. You guys supported this regime for 3 decades, enjoyed your market monopoly in absense of Americans for so many years. Why are you angry now? come on, you forgot that mullahs are your best friends?
your day is coming asshole
Dang, that’s gonna cost me another carbon credit
Henh.
Yeah, the Brits are not dearly loved in Iran. Finally, the mullahs and the dissidents have an enemy they can both agree on.
I do strongly disagree with aya’s that the Brits won’t get support from the Americans, though. We will most assuredly support them.
However, looking at how badly things have gone for the IRI in the past few months, and their desperate need for cash, it’s clear what the Mad Mullahs were after with this adventure, is higher oil prices. They clearly wanted something to escalate tensions, as the commodity brokers are a nervous bunch. If shots were to be fired in anger, the Mad Mullahs would rejoice. If things escalated even further, the threat to close the straits of Hormuz would really rattle the cages of the oil brokers. However, I don’t think the Mad Mullahs want to go so far as provoke an attack on their gas refinery, and have a naval blockade cut off the foreign supplies of refined gasoline.
The IRI is near implosion from the weight of it’s own immorality, and corruption. They may have made the first move in this game of chess, but they have only that first move as their advantage. They are desperate to win, and their desperation springs from fear of losing it all.
Actually nuke, what the poster ayatollah says about British involvement in Iran is true.
The regime change dissidents have real animosity for the British government.
Here’s a piece I found at Free Iran, that speaks to the feelings of Iranians, about the UK.
Iranians blame UK for all that goes awry.
So Britain is the common enemy and – potentially – the great unifier. Whenever national or patriotic unity is required, the spectre of British enmity can provide a convenient catalyst.
In last week’s No Rouz (Iranian new year) message to the nation, the supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, hinted that Iran might act ‘illegally’ to pursue its nuclear programme. ‘Until today, what we have done is in accordance with international regulations. But if they take illegal actions, we too can take illegal actions and will do so,’ he said.
He did not elaborate. But a deliberately-engineered dispute with Britain could serve to silence domestic criticism of Ahmadinejad’s abrasive handling of the nuclear issue, which Khamenei has felt obliged to support.
When the security council first agreed sanctions against Iran last December, it triggered a wave of condemnation of the president.
Sounds like the mullahs desperately need an outside enemy for the restless natives to be concentrating on except for them. A diversion, as it were.
Ahmadinejad needs a snuke snuck. A work accident.
Henh.
Ol’MonkeyBoy wouldn’t know what to do with a…snuke.
They desperately need to change the subject from their empty treasury, 30% unemployment, and the fact that the IRI can no longer continue to subsidize the price of gas and bread. When those prices escalate beyond unbelievable margins, the shi’ites are gonna hit the fan.
I dunno, N2L. Look how far Zimbabwe has fallen, from the breadbasket of Africa to citizens overjoyed to pay for rat carcasses. Look at North Korea, where hundreds of thousands (millions?) have starved. No, I don’t look for an uprising no matter how bad conditions become.
Florida vs Ohio State….now, where have I heard that before?
I can’t ever remember this happening before, when the same two schools play for both the football and basketball championships.
nuke,
don’t waste your carbon credits or wathever
for centuries, half of the world called you with worse than those words. your mothers and the queen
since you didn’t understand my message, i used a similar literature that usually i don’t use
Let’s hope the outcome of the game will be as big an a55-whuppin’ as the football game was.
Swamps, I don’t think comparing Zimbabwe and NK, with Iran is a valid comparison. NK hasn’t had shi’ite since…well…since I don’t know when, and though Zimbabwe had it pretty good for a while, they never had the modern conveniences and modern technology that most young Iranians, and the middle class, have come to expect. If they remove the gasoline subsidy, as they have stated they were going to since they can no longer afford it, and gas goes from $.09 a gallon, to $4.00 a gallon overnight, things are gonna go down hill faster than a Democrats promise.
no2liberals
I still think Americans will not support brits. Although you need them, but at the end, you should first think about your own interests. If the US gets control over Iran, it will be a heaven for both sides. If europeans continue their dirty support of the same regime, then Americans will be losers – by sure! they have already lost it to the euoropeans for 28 years. Probably Iran is the only country in the world that doesn’t have McDonalds, Pepsi, Ford, Chevy, IBM, Oracle, etc. etc.
When I say this to my euoropean friends, they become so happy that we don’t consume American products. In fact they hate American products because they want to sell their own low quality products and services. I am in IT industry and I know how bad european programs are. They really suck! they still live in stone age
but they can sell their useless products with very very high price to IR because they have no competitors, Americans are absent there!
Let the illiterate people like “nuke” be angry and curse everyone. It will even make the situation better for the IR regime. As you said, it will be a great gift for them. There is no doubt that the mullah regime will not come down for this issue and if Blair has brain, he will apologize to end this crisis. Otherwise, the IR regime will escalate it to get more advantage.
ayatollah,
I’m well aware of how many/most Euro countries have profited with their dealing with the Mad Mullahs. While fewer are doing business with them at present, the IRI has it’s friends in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to help them out.
I still believe the U.S. will support our U.K. friends in this matter, but I don’t think we should look for an invasion or takeover of Iran. I’m convinced from talking with my many Persian ex-pat friends, and reading much smarter people than me, that what is needed is to support the dissidents in Iran, and keep up the pressure on the IRI.
I just read an interesting article, which isn’t compelling or convincing, but interesting.
Power struggle in Iran over hostages.
Also wanted to say…Run, Newt! Run!
Abolish bilingual education, Gingrich urges.
Hey nuke!
I think I found a hat for Swampie.
It’s tough being illiterate and having to deal with brilliant trolls.
Course, the upside, when I cuss, I get to buy a carbon credit from myself. Just like Al Gore (PBUH™).
See? even an illiterate neo-con can save the planet.
BTW, you are wrong about Americans supporting the Brits. We’re just sitting back wondering when they’re going to begin pounding the hell out of bushehr.
But Nuke, but Nuke…the Brits don’t have enough air power in theater to take out Bushehr.
ummm, ever hear of the lend lease act? 2 carrier battle groups ought to be enough, even for folks as brilliant as our troll.
-
hehehe, Dr John!
Yep, the good Doctor hisself.
Along with the now departed Professor Longhair.
Speaking of Bushehr, I wonder whatever happened to the Green Peace protesters that were headed for Bushehr?
I know they probably have a website, but wouldn’t want to go there, it would probably treat my computer like the guy that tried to disarm the “snuke.”
Night.
oooooo human shields.
I love it.
g-nite

Thanks for that link, I always liked Jones’ work, but have now put him on my shi’ite list. Didn’t know he was a total moonbat wearing an ass-hat, til now.
As for the EU’s response, it’s another one of those knock me over with a feather moments. Another sign that the fifty year old EU doesn’t work.
I did notice yesterday, that the Italian government(surprise-surprise), froze the assets of the Sebah bank, which is used by the IRI’s military.

I am so sorry for my brit friends. I never imagined they could be so soft and emotional
Come on, this is simply a psychologic war. stop crying, show some manliness!
The Mad Mullahs need cash.
And where did the protesters in Tehran find so many rocks to hurl?

Hey, it’s Spicoli! Grab some tasty waves, dude.
Has anybody noticed how the dimbulbs like ayatollah have to keep with the talking points of other dimbulbs, such as Spicoli himself? Next he’ll be quoting Rosie. What a bunch of losers.
Oh, God, not Rosie. When I heard what she spouted off the last time, I was just awed by her breadth of lack of knowledge.
Sadly, Rosie is becoming the mouthpiece for the braindead leftards that can’t come up with an original thought for themselves. But on the brighter side, Rosie is becoming the mouthpiece….It can only go down hill from there.
I have always wondered just where the cavemen keep coming up with the rocks to chuck. Seems like the should have run out about 20 years ago. But being cavemen, rocks be their business.
