Did y’all see this post over at Pierre’s?
Did we lose a helo in Iraq containing 2 Colonels, 1 Lt Colonel, 1 Major, 1 Captain, 2 Command Sgt
UPDATE: Here is the link to the CNN Website showing KIA in Iraq. (hat tip Dorkafork at Vodkapundit) Exactly the ranks listed by Honestjoe are listed KIA in a Blackhawk crash. Maliki is our ally? Oh my gosh the ramifications to our efforts in Iraq are dreadful…the only way to get past this is to understand that Iran is pulling the strings and take the war finally to Iran. The United States has to stop acting like a we fell off the turnip truck yesterday.
This story is either a tragic coincidence, or has implications of high-level moles that are stark, indeed. While the leftists in our country are debating whether or not 9/11 was really so bad, our military is being hung out to dry by those who at best want to fight a politically correct war, and at worst, want to cut and run, and abandon the entire region to the mullahs.

It is tragic. Period. The Democrats are a sick bunch of people. And if another 9/11 style attack were to befall this country and kill innocent people I am sure they would blame Bush and his so-called failed policies. It is never them, they never do any wrong, they know how to solve all the woes and problems….SPIT!
I don’t quite know what to make of this story, as I need some confirmation.
And still…the Operation Iraqi Freedom webpage hasn’t been updated since Saturday.
As our enemies in Iraq have adapted to our methods, and changed tactics, so have we. There are ways to find out if and even who is responsible for events like these, and if any of this is true, as the Karbala incident was, I’m certain any adjustments that need to be made will be, and hopefully and comfort level or complacency on our military leaderships part will be diminished. Attacking leadership is a tried and true method for creating confusion and a loss of morale among the ranks, as our forefathers did to the British army. If this is true, our leaders need to adapt.
WUH-OH!
A picture is beginning to emerge of a clash between an Iraqi Shia tribe on a pilgrimage to Najaf and an Iraqi army checkpoint that led the US to intervene with devastating effect. The involvement of Ahmed al-Hassani (also known as Abu Kamar), who believed himself to be the coming Mahdi, or Messiah, appears to have been accidental.
Oh man!
thanks for posting the (UK)Independent version. It is totally different than the NYTimes version, and both versions are different than renowned middle east scholar Juan Cole All 3 versions are different than reports I read yesterday. It may be time to invoke the 48 hr rule until more is known.
I agree, but why is it taking so long for an official U.S. report?
Perhaps they are having to wade through all of the conflicting reports, and the truth is somewhere in between.
I dunno. the Karbala incident comes to mind. Perhaps the Iranian connection is smoking hot.
Odd, this,
Just so it isn’t glowing hot.
I’m telling ya’, these gnostic leaders of Iran are past the point of waking up in the middle of the night, with excruciating pain, but unable to scream and can only make gurgling sounds.
I say go clandestine on their a**es.
