  1. So nuke, what’s the occasion for the gathering?
Hope y’all have a good’ol time, and hate it all the mudbugs are in hiding this time of year. Sounds like a pork shoulder on the smoker should do the trick.
Nothing like some good pulled pork on a bun.

  2. BTW, the kid in Missouri that gave the police a discription of the pickup truck that kidnapped the little boy, and later led to the arrest of the pervert with the two boys, got a surprise. He was at a car show in St. Louis this past weekend with his Dad, and Chrysler Motors presented him with a brand spanking new Dodge Ram pickemup truck. Way to go kid!

  3. Nah, it’s not a happy gathering. Granny has been living with us since Katrina floated her house away, and she’s in real poor health, slipping away from us. Won’t be long now

  4. Ah man, I didn’t know.
God Bless Her, and her family too.

  5. Darn, sorry to hear that, Nuke. Guess that blow was more than she could bear.

  6. broke her heart

  7. Sorry to hear that nuke. Make her happy…

  8. thanks y’all. I appreciate those kind words. I really do

  9. Mmmhmmmm. I have a friend that lost her father, 4 months later her husband died of cancer, and she is currently unable to work because she is the caregiver for her mother who has dementia. She’s been a rock but when a water heater exploded and badly damaged her first house (that she doesn’t live in anymore), she went to pieces. It wasn’t the house so much as the time her husband had put in after work handcutting the lumbar, her mother making the cabinets, etc. I think it was because those physical items were a connection to those that were gone.

  10. I can’t imagine what a jolt that must have been for her, to lose everything, but most especially all of the loving memories of her family, past and present.
Give her one of these {{(HUG)}} for me nuke.

  11. Good night y’all, have a good’un tomorrow.

  12. thanks jp

  13. I’m sorry to hear about Granny. Hang in there & take care.

  14. How’s your dear granny today?

  15. Prayers for you and your granny Nuke.

Been in London and out of the loop.

  16. Hey vimto.
On the question of Minnie the Moocher, supposedly Big Bad Voodoo Daddy does a good cover, but can’t find a video.

  17. N2L listens to Big Bad Voodoo Daddy? I feel faint.

  18. You and your feelin’s!

  19. Yep, just a victim of my emotions.

/Woohoo, I got to play the victim card! I got to play the victim card!
