There really aren’t any moderate Democrats anymore. In the last decade, I’ve observed the radical leftward move of the Democrats, with an upsurge in over-the-top rhetoric that is akin to rhetorical arson. Here are ten things I hate about Democrats:
1) The “Hive Mentality”
Groupthink. Digg et al; believes that the news of the day is a popularity contest to be decided by a vote of the hive. Once voted upon, these stories become fodder for the left wing echo chamber.2) Scandal Politics
To stop and think of every new scandal and outrage of the week from “The Downing Street Memo” to “Rathergate” to “Plamegate” gives me a headache. Every few months there’s another one.
3) The embrace of far-left extremists.
No? Here is a report from Zombietime News about the global Day of Action, held San Francisco a few months ago. Did you see any of this folderal in the media?4) Moral Equivalency
This one item includes the ‘Blame America First’ crowd, the Palestinian sympathizers and their allies in the Press, and many others.5) Anti-Christian
I won’t say that Democrats are anti-religious, because they faithfully adhere to their own religion of mother earth, global warming, gaia, and any other new-age spiritual journey that comes down the pike.6) Politics of Division
Pitting the evil rich against the poor, black against white, old against the young, and claiming themselves as being the arbiters of what is ‘good’ vs their ‘evil’ enemies.7) Plantation Politics
And don’t dare stray from the Plantation, else the overseers will come after you with a vengeance that is reserved for only the most evil of all creations: Republicans. And if you are a Black Republican, then you get a rhetorical vengeance reserved for the uber-evil. Just ask Michael Steele.8) More concern for the rights of criminals than the rights of victims

Believing it is more important to be loved by the world than it is to defend personal freedoms, the reliance on the ‘global test’ has spawned over the top rhetoric by the political left that is used as a template by the true enemies of this country to score cheap political points.10) September 10, 2001 mentality
It’s as if 9/11 didn’t happen, or worse, it was a Bushco conspiracy.

I hate, hate, HATE the environmental “activists” that run wild under the Democrat banner. Yes, there’s nothing like “protecting” the national forests by letting them them grow into a tangled mess, preventing any sort of clearing,cullng, or burning, and then have the forests explode into flame because of piss poor management. Trees have actual lifespans. They grow old. They get stressed and diseased. They don’t live forever. Huge forests crowded full of geriatric trees aren’t even good wildlife habitat. And then the clueless “animal rights” activists that know nothing about the animals that they are “freeing”. What the hell do you expect them to do for food? Call for Chinese takeout? An animal that has been raised in a confinement operation may not actually have developed the life skills necessary to forage for food, you know.
The list is comprehensive, and Swampies is a good’un.
For me it’s everything.
As many of you may have noticed, a reformed smoker, is generally the most anti-smoker in the crowd. I’m a reformed democrat, run off from the party for all of the above, my age being an asset in recognizing historical trends and rhetoric. I had been upset with the party for some time, but because I have a streak of loyalty a mile wide, it took one decisive push, to run me off completely. That push became a shove out the door, in August of ’91, when the party I felt loyal to, nominated a man from Arkansas. I have a theory as to how they found ol’Sick Willie, I think someone reached down to the bottom of a pig wallow, pulled him out, rinsed him off, and said yep, this ought to be disgusting enough. I was out the dem’s door so fast, I left a con-trail, and have been a vehement anti-democratic party voice ever since. I will give them credit for being so effective in masking who they truly are, and being able to deceive so many, and for gaining control of so many institutions. All the more reason I will continue to fight them.
I have two items to add to the list.
The first is very important to me.

Being in love with “alternative energy” without being able to specify which alternative energy and quantify the actual costs and without knowing whether it will actually ever be workable while being completely against nuclear energy.
Yeah, but Swampie, they were for it, before they were against it.
Oh, and “energy independence” while blocking drilling, the construction of new refineries, the construction of nuclear energy plants, the blocking of wind turbines (Dude! Birds!), the blocking of hydroelectric (Dude! Wildlife habitat), and a petulant demand that “somebody” should “do something”. If you want to go back to subsistence farming with a digging stick, nobody is stopping you. Just don’t expect the rest of us to aspire to that life style.
