Oh, and damn. My house insurance went up THOUSANDS of dollars this year. I have one month to come up with the extra several thousand dollars that the new insurance premium is that I was not expecting. I thought maybe it would double, but not go up by a factor of 5.

Tried to find another insurance provider, but the agent said we were lucky to have one still willing to write in Florida (no matter what the price). It may be actually less expensive to pay off the mortgage and go without insurance.
I’ve never understood the furor over embryonic stem cells. They would be foreign bodies and as such would require immunosuppressive drugs and elevated cancer risk.

He says there’s no way in hell, though, that he’s gonna mix the cement on the ground, carry it up a ladder in buckets, and pour the beam around the top thkis time around. Heh. Guess that would be my job.

I’m still kinda partial to the dome house
I am too, Nuke. I was just looking at it. He’s been trying to talk me into turning the house into a 3,000 SF workshop and putting the new dome house out back by the sheep barn. Well, maybe.
I’m still partial to real estate far from the coastline, far from earthquake country, and far from NY and LA.

Yeah Swampie, it’s been a tough year, with such a young team, after two straight state championship appearances. They are very talented, but make too many mistakes. They have nearly 600 yds of total offense tonight, but too many turnovers.

Watching Mr. Griffin’s tribute this morning, I was wondering how many of those young soldiers had been playing high school sports and/or cheerleading the year before.
Next week is a must win, to make the playoffs, even then there will be most likely a three way tie, maybe four way, and points scored against the other tied teams is the tie-breaker, which would qualify them, as they hung half a hundred on several opponents.

I hadn’t thought of the young men in the video in that way, I saw guys I already knew, eventhough we never met, and how much fun we could have talking s**t, telling lies, jokes, and going deer and duck hunting.
Don’t know if you saw any of it, but Air Force and Army played earlier on ESPN2. I love to watch the academies play, there is so much spirit, and determination, with a never quit attitude, displayed in those games, eventhough they aren’t playing for a national championship, they have their priorities right.
AFA beat Army 43-7, which was surprising, as I had seen Army play some big time schools earlier this year, and gave them fits. Army almost beat Texas A&M, and TAMU is in a position to win the Big 12 South title, if they beat Texas.
