LimoWreck
Google paid $1.6M for millions of youtube users
Billion, not million, I'm sure just a typo, but significant, nonetheless.
No doubt Google is looking at developing a better version in-house. But their pattern shows a willingness to grow through acquisitions.
I guess I'm just old fashioned, in the sense that I would rather buy "bricks than clicks", and no tangible assets throws up red flags for me.

I do agree with your statement regarding corporate users.
Thanks for stopping by.

Google paid $1.6M for millions of youtube users. To compare millions of unrelated content clips to the business users sought after by SlideShare is apples and oranges.

Corporate accounts are the name of the game in this market. Business end-users are presenting content that is heavily proprietary and not a candidate for sharing on a community site - ain't gonna happen. Thus, a different business model entirely.

No doubt Google's engineers are already at work developing better versions of these same tools. If there is an acqusition, it will be the company with the most corporate users.

Who did what to who, now?
I don't give a shiite about that game, just heard his comments on the goo-tube purchase on local talk radio the other day, and thought his thoughts on the subject were interesting. He knows a little about the wide-wide-world of the innernut. He also owns a company that films sport events for HD tv.
OT, but found this really good cartoon at Free Iran, photoshopped it a little(cropped it), and here it is...teehee!

I have no idea what they would pay. If you want a complicated, lengthy, and tedious answer, you need to ask Mark Cuban.
