Australia is a muslim nation?

In what must have come as a great surprise to most Australians, the muslim advisor to Prime Minister John Howard has made the claim that Australia is a muslim nation.

“When I go abroad, they ask me where do I come from? I say I come from a Muslim country,” he said.
“Which country, they say. Australia.
“That’s not a Muslim country. Yes it’s Muslim country.
“For the value that my religion preaches, these people practise….” said Amir Ali.

In a statement that was applauded by Andrew Robb, the Parliamentary Secretary for multi-cultural affairs, Ali added this choice bit of moral relativism, “Values are universal. Human values – there is no such thing as Australian values.”

Obviously, Mr. Robb forgot to ask Ali how these universal human values can be in harmony with the koranic demands for supremacy:

Fight those who believe not in Allah or the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which has been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the Religion of Truth, from among the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizyah with willing submission and are subdued. ” —Qur’an, 9:29

Let me save Ali, Robb and their ilk the trouble of wondering if this line of “reasoning” will work in the States, especially in my native South — Not no, but Hell, no Mofo.

  1. Abolish beer, pork, sex, and scantily clad cheerleaders? (not necessarily in that order). I don’t think so.

Very much like democrats in that respect.

  4. Get used to it. And you will be Democrat/Socialists next. They will let you keep your Fosters.

  5. thanks for sharing

  6. The advisor is mistaken. According to the last census data, the majority of Australian citizen identify themselves as holding christian beliefs – though it should be noted that the percentage of such is lower than the census beforehand.

  7. I thought so. The advisor has his own agenda? Does he want to see Aussie women in burkash? I like your blog. I’ll connect it to mine if you’ll do the same.

  8. thanks. I just added both of you
