BEYFlyer is reporting from Beirut of very heavy bombing by the IAF:

3 more raids and every time, two bombs or missiles are exploding… I can feel the air pressure created from those explosions over my face… Thick black smoke covers the area surrounding the airport; can’t really see much beyond it… A weird smell is in the air, not of burning fuel but of something else… Wonder what’s burning…

2 very, VERY loud explosions in the suburbs just now… I have never “felt” such a strong explosion before… I am almost 100% sure those are the “bunker buster” bombs they’ve been talking about… When your whole body shifts to one side, you know that thing is HUGE… God help us all… Please stop this insanity

LAS VEGAS–The FBI needs help from hackers to fight cybercrime, an agency official said Wednesday.
“We need your expertise and input as we develop strategies to battle cybercrime in the 21st century,” Daniel Larkin, a unit chief in the FBI’s cybercrime division, said in his opening address at the annual Black Hat security conference here.
As cybercrime has continued to become more sophisticated and organized, federal agencies have increasingly sought to partner with the private sector. Earlier this year, FBI Director Robert Mueller used the RSA Conference to send out a similar message.
“The people we’re going after are not just the script kiddies anymore. These people are making a lot of money,” Larkin told the Black Hat audience of hackers and security professionals. “I am a recovering technophobe; I used to be really afraid of you all. But I realize that you all are really important.”

The central piece of evidence leading to this conclusion is the fact, mentioned by IDF officials from the very beginning, that the building collapsed a full seven hours after the Israel Air Force bombing. Why, then, would the residents inside not have been evacuated in the meantime? As Brig.-Gen. Amir Eshel of the Israeli Air Force told reporters Sunday night, “It is difficult for me to believe that they waited eight hours to evacuate it.” Without additional evidence, Eshel merely left open the possibility that Hizbullah terrorists, or explosives they left behind, caused the explosion.
Gen. Eshel also said that the building was used by Hizbullah to store explosives. This was supported by a letter by Dr. Mounir Herzallah, a southern Lebanese Shiite, who wrote that Hizbullah terrorists came to his town, dug a munitions depot and then built a school and a residence directly over it.

Two years ago, the woman Canadians refer to as “Belinda” quit both her job as CEO of the C$10 billion Magna International auto parts empire (created by her father, Frank Stronach) and her then husband – Norwegian speed-skating champion Johann Koss – for politics ~snip~
Clinton may not care too much. An acquaintance of Belinda’s says: “Bill was always more interested in her money than her breasts.” Still, you can’t help but wonder if his ultimate fantasy revolved around Hillary in the White House and Belinda running Canada: Which G8 leader should I visit this weekend?

Norwegian reporter fakes Bill Gates Interview, from Mercury News

OSLO, Norway (AP) – Microsoft Corp. said Wednesday a Norwegian journalist fabricated an interview with Bill Gates.
The interview, printed in the Norwegian magazine Mann and top-selling Swedish tabloid daily Aftonbladet, was “totally fake,” said Eirik Lae Solberg, spokesman for Microsoft Norway.
In the four-page interview entitled “Big Bill,” author Bjoern Benkow claimed he spoke to Gates during a two-hour commercial flight in Europe.
Gates was quoted as saying in the article that he never carries more than a “dime” in his pocket and that he makes $1 bets with his wife.
He also purportedly talked openly about competition with search engine Google and Europe’s antitrust actions against the software company. The article, which was in Norwegian, quoted Gates as saying, “Google have been smart.”
According to Solberg, Gates’ personal assistant Craig Beilinson informed Microsoft Norway that the interview never took place and that Gates did not fly in a commercial carrier at the time the journalist allegedly met him.
Benkow, who has also had interviews with Tom Cruise and Oprah Winfrey published in Swedish media, was not immediately available for comment.

There’s the infamous New Yorker cartoon of a dog typing on a keyboard that reads, “On the Internet, no one knows you’re a dog.” Black Hat presenter Neal Krawetz says while he still may not know who you are, he can tell other details about you such as gender, handedness, and even whether you are a musician. Keyboard analysis is not forensics because you can’t claim to know conclusively who authored a blog site, an IM, or even computer malware. Rather, Krawetz says his keyboard analysis is more like profiling, like using blood splattering at a crime scene to infer suspect information. He used blogs from MySpace to demonstrate his gender analysis.
